# Authorization advice received
This [Issuing](https://www.checkout.com/docs/card-issuing.md) event occurs when the card scheme responds to an authorization request on our behalf because Checkout.com is not reachable, or when a transaction is performed at a gas station or ATM.
If the notification is for:
- An automated fuel dispenser (AFD) transaction – Debit the cardholder's balance accordingly.
- A decline – No further action is required.
