# Card created

This [Issuing](https://www.checkout.com/docs/card-issuing.md) event occurs when you create a card.

| `version`<br>`string` | The webhook's version. |
| `created_on`<br>`date-time` | The date and time when the event occurred, in UTC. <br>Format – ISO 8601 code <br>Example – `yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm:ss.ss` |
| `data`<br>`object` | The webhook message. |
| `data.card_id`<br>`string` | The card's unique identifier. |
| `data.cardholder_id`<br>`string` | The cardholder's unique identifier. |
| `data.entity_id`<br>`string` | The unique identifier of the entity you created the card for. |
| `data.card_product_id`<br>`string` | The unique identifier of the [card product](https://www.checkout.com/docs/card-issuing/set-up-card-program.md#Card_products) the card is linked to. |
| `data.type`<br>`string` | The type of card. This can be one of:<br><br>- `physical` – For [physical cards](https://www.checkout.com/docs/card-issuing/set-up-card-program.md#Physical_cards)<br>- `virtual` – For [virtual cards](https://www.checkout.com/docs/card-issuing/set-up-card-program.md#Virtual_cards) |
| `is_single_use`<br>`boolean`<br>`optional` | Specifies whether the card is [single use](https://www.checkout.com/docs/card-issuing/set-up-card-program.md#Single_and_multi-use_cards). |
| `data.last_four`<br>`string` | The last four digits of the card number. |
| `data.status`<br>`string` | The status of the card. This can be one of:<br><br>- `Inactive`<br>- `Active` |
| `data.issuing_country`<br>`string` | The country where the card was issued. <br>Format – [ISO alpha-2 country code](https://www.checkout.com/docs/developer-resources/testing/codes/country-codes.md) <br>Example – `US` |
| `data.reference`<br>`string`<br>`optional` | Your reference for the card. |
| `data.billing_currency`<br>`string` | The billing currency for the account. <br>Format – [ISO 4217 code](https://www.checkout.com/docs/developer-resources/codes/currency-codes.md) |
| `data.metadata`<br>`object`<br>`optional` | Contains information about the card's metadata. See [Metadata object](#Metadata_object) for more details. |
| `data.expiry_month`<br>`integer` | The month when the card expires. |
| `data.expiry_year`<br>`integer` | The year the card expires. |
| `data.revocation_date`<br>`string`<br>`optional` | The date when the card is automatically revoked.<br><br>This date must always be in the future. <br>Format – `yyyy-mm-dd` |
| `data.scheme`<br>`string` | The card scheme. This can be one of:<br><br>- `mastercard`<br>- `visa` |
| `data.created_on`<br>`string` | The date and time when the card was created. <br>Format – ISO 8601 code <br>Example – `2025-01-31T10:20:30.456` |
