# Settlement instructed

This event occurs when a settlement is approved and sent for processing. The funds are being prepared for transfer.

| `source_amount`<br>`number` | The _Available_ balance in the corresponding currency account, which is settled to you. |
| `balance_as_of`<br>`string` | The date and time when the _Available_ balance was checked for settlement, in ISO-8601 format. |
| `bank_name`<br>`string` | The name of your bank to which the settlement is paid out. |
| `payment_instrument_id`<br>`string` | The unique identifier of the payment instrument. |
| `billing_descriptor`<br>`string` | The identifier in your bank statement for this settlement transaction. Checkout.com sends the settlement ID as the billing descriptor. |
