Sign in to the [Dashboard](https://dashboard.checkout.com). 2. Select the _Settings menu_ in the top navigation bar, and then select _Settings_. 3. Under _Business settings_, select _Bank settlements_. 4. On the _Bank settlement preferences_ page, under _Settlement time zone_, select the new settlement time zone from the _Time zone_ dropdown. 5. Select _Save changes_. 6. In the confirmation dialog that appears, select _Confirm change_. Your time zone is updated immediately and the next settlement is paid out in that time zone. If your settlement time zone is in UTC, settlements are generated at 2:00 AM UTC. For all other time zones, settlements are generated at 5:00 AM local time, based on the regional Checkout.com entity you're contracted with. The first settlement you receive in the new time zone may be smaller or larger than expected for the following reasons: | Region | Description | | --- | --- | | Regions ahead of UTC
For example, Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East and North Africa | Pending funds accumulated up to the day you update your time zone (in UTC) move into _Available_ after settlements are generated in your local time. These funds are then paid out in the next settlement, in accordance with your settlement speed.

After this, settlements are paid out in your local time. | | Regions behind UTC
For example, the United States | Pending funds accumulated up to the day you update your time zone (in UTC) move into _Available_ before any settlements are generated in your local time, and are included in that day's settlements. | ### Time zones and reports Settlement reports are generated in line with your settlement time zone. For all other Checkout.com reports, you can also select UTC or your local time zone. When you update your settlement time zone, some transactions may be missing from or duplicated in the [settlement report](https://www.checkout.com/docs/funds-management/retrieve-financial-reports/settlement-reports.md) from the previous period and the report from the current period, if they're in different time zones. For example, you download a report ending at midnight on December 31 in UTC, and another report beginning at midnight on January 1 in the `America/Los_Angeles` time zone. Some transactions do not appear in either report. To reconcile, download reports for the reporting period in both UTC and the updated time zone. --- ## Add or customize settlement IDs The settlement ID is the unique identifier for a settlement as it appears on your bank statement, which helps identify the sub-account you were paid out from. It's also displayed in the [Dashboard overview](#View_settlements). If you have multiple settlements in the same currency from different sub-accounts, you can customize your settlement IDs. For example, you have multiple stores in the United Kingdom. All funds Checkout.com processes for these stores are settled in `GBP`. Custom IDs can help you map settlements to each store. > **Information** > > To add or customize settlement IDs, contact your account manager or [request support](https://dashboard.checkout.com/support/new?topic=case_account_management_and_access&issue=issue_account_changes). --- ## Subscribe to webhooks You can set up webhooks to be notified about settlement events: 1.
