# Collect verification information When a sub-entity submits an application to onboard, you must ensure they provide Checkout.com with specific information for verification and compliance purposes. --- ## Entity information The information required depends on whether the sub-entity is a company or a sole trader, and your regional regulations. - Sole trader – Provide information about the individual represented by the sub-entity. This includes their name, address, contact details, and financial information. - Company – Provide information about the business sub-entity. This includes the business name, business type, registered address, and details of the company’s representatives. > **Information** > > For the full list of information required, see the [Onboard an entity](https://api-reference.checkout.com/tag/Platforms/#operation/onboardEntity) endpoint. A sub-entity can provide the minimum required information for onboarding, and save it as a draft. However, Checkout.com only starts verification when Checkout.com has all required information. If the sub-entity does not provide the necessary details, their status remains `requirements_due`. For the actions the sub-entity needs to take, see [Requirements due](https://www.checkout.com/docs/platforms/for-saas/manage-sub-entities/sub-entity-status.md#Requirements_due). > **Important** > > Checkout.com cannot process payments or receive payouts for a sub-entity until it has passed verification. --- ## Supporting documents for sub-entities Checkout.com conducts multiple checks during verification. As part of this process, we may request additional documents. Each uploaded document must meet certain standards to be accepted for verification.
